The Business and Creative Arts Department encompasses many diverse subjects and interests. The only required course in this department is Computer Applications. All other courses are elective. From Digital Photography to Culinary Arts to Business Law and Woodworking, students have the opportunity to follow their interests and gain hands on experience and real world skills. |

| No matter what path they may follow, every Nutley High School graduate will assume the benefits and responsibilities of citizenship. To this end, the Social Studies Department offers a variety of courses and activities designed to nurture an appreciation of democracy and the historical circumstances in which it exists. Students may take courses ranging from Archaeology to Economics to Sociology, as well as courses in the history of world regions and the United States. Nutley High School students have written and worked in support of legislation in the New Jersey Legislature, discussed the logistics of democracy via live web casts with students in the Ukraine, and conducted voter registration drives. | |||||
