Abhishek Dixit 2-C  Here’s what I love about Washington School…our teachers.  I always look forward to go to school.  My teachers plan our day.  We are very busy in school.  We work very hard but it is fun.  Our teachers not only teach us subjects but they help us in becoming good citizens of our country.  It is good to get 100% in tests but it is very important to follow rules in school.  My family likes me more for all the things my teachers teach me.  I am very proud to be a part of Washington School family.

Dante Intindola 5-R  What I love about Washington School is that everybody is created in the same way.  There isn’t too much bullying or name-calling.  I also love going to Washington School because it’s not too crowded like some other schools are.  We also switch for more subjects than some other schools do.  I love Washington because my family has been going to it since 1921.  My grandfather tells me stories of how lunch was 25 cents a week, and how he was the Marble Champion of Washington School.  I love going to Washington School.

Tamazi Danelia 5-R  I remember beautiful sunny September day of last year when I first came to Washington School.  I was scared…I was standing next to my Mom who later admitted that she was very scared as well.  For both of us this experience was new and for me it was absolutely terrifying.  I just came to live to US, didn’t speak any English, didn’t have any friends, and didn’t even know anybody and all of a sudden I’m standing in front of this huge building waiting for teacher.  Her name we knew was Mrs. Healy but we had no idea about anything else.  As we are standing and talking to each other the door opened and three teachers came out who we later found out where Mrs. Healy, Mrs. Tibaldo and Ms. Cerniglia.  Shortly I said good-bye to my Mom and went in with the rest of the classmates.  It is not easy to describe the emotions and feelings that I went through, it was very overwhelming, it was too much, but as soon as we took a seat everything changed.  I knew that I was in good hands; I knew that I could succeed; I knew I could learn the language, have friends, study well and make my family proud.  I like a lot of things about Washington School!  It has the BEST TEACHERS.  I love every single person in this school.  But I have to admit that my favorite teacher is and always will be Mrs. Healy.  She is the reason behind by success.  She was very patient with me, always took extra time if I needed help, she always believed in me, and as much as she helped me to get through my first year she helped my Mom as well.  She was a big support for my Mom and me.  I absolutely admire my fifth grade teachers Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Beckmeyer and Mrs. Boyce.  Mrs. Cullity has a huge part in my development.  I love her lessons.  Thanks to her I’m able to write, read and communicate in English.  She is the great teacher.  I like that I gained a lot of new friends in Washington School.  I miss a lot my friends in Georgia who I grew up with.  But I’m also very glad that I know and have as nice and loyal friends here as I have back in my country.  I graduated three grades back in Georgia and I can see how different Washington School is from my old school.  The techniques that we have here are so much fun but at the same time we get so much information.  I love project that we do for different subjects, trips that we take to different places.  The art class, the music lessons.  I can go on and on but the most importantly Washington School will always be the huge part of my life, my new life in USA.  Thanks Washington School!

Averill Wong 4-H  Why do I love Washington School?  The answer to that is EVERYTHING!  The teachers make learning fun so nothing is boring.  They always have books to keep me reading, and they have projects for us to do.
Library is my favorite part of school.  Mrs. Battaglia has some very interesting books to read, and allows us to work on the computers.  Art keeps you busy the whole period.  Ms. Crupi always has something “cooking” for us.  She has so many projects everybody is having fun!
1,2,3…keeping your fitness up?  Time for gym!  Running laps!  Kick the soccer ball!  Situps!  Mrs. M is keeping us active!  So many games you’re always having fun!
Music is a loud place!  Singing-along songs, limbo, dancing, and freeze dance!    Mrs. Bimbi keeps you root’in toot’in along!
Washington School has so many activities!  That’s why I LOVE WASHINGTON SCHOOL!!

Pooja Mehta 3-A  Located on Washington Avenue in Nutley, NJ is the best school, which I have attended so far.  I really love my school because it has some of the best teachers I ever had so far as a student.
All teachers are very nice to me and they really work hard so we can learn and be good students.  I also like the school nurse because she takes great care of all the students when they are sick or feeling sick.
I also like the school cafeteria because it always has good food especially when I am having hot lunch.  The favorite lunch day for me at Washington School is the day we have pizza for lunch and on the days we get to go out and play in the beautiful school ground.
Sometime when my parents say that I will have to go to another school once I grow up because I really feel bad that I will not be in the same school.  But I will never forget all the good teachers and people working in Mr. Jones’ office including Mr. Jones.

Mia 1-M   I love Washington School because my Dad, uncle, aunt, and cousins went there too.  We even have some of the same teachers.  It feels like one big family.  When I grow up I want my kids to go to Washington School.

Janie  K-D  I love all my nice teachers in my school.  I love my friends and classmates too.  I love my Washington School because they teach me how to be a good person.

Kaitlyn 6-S  What I love about Washington School is the teachers, who help us learn new things everyday.  The custodians, who keep our school clean and looking great.  The cooks, who feed us yummy meals at lunch.  I will never forget taco-roni, which for about two years now has been my favorite meal from the cafeteria.  I also love our new heating system, which, without we would not be as warm as we are everyday.  I’ll bet no one will ever forget the HUGE new computers that we have received this year.  It is just too bad I am only going to be able to use them for one year.  I will not only love Washington School as a student, I will love it for as long as I live. 

Victoria Likos 3-C  What I love about Washington School is that every one is very nice, especially Mr. Jones.  I think he does a lot of nice things for our school.  If anyone needs help, he’s always there to help them.

Ashley 5-Bo   I love Washington School!  The reasons I do because the food, teachers, and principle.  My favorite food here is their salad and turkey sandwiches.  I like Mr. Jones because he is really nice to everyone and allows us to bring our psp’s and Nintendo ds’s to lunch.  The teachers are the best especially Mrs. Boyce, she allows us to listen to the radio while we are doing our work and, sometimes allows us to start our home work in class, gives us awesome jobs and allows us to play games.  The best thing here is all the children because they are very nice.

Henry 5-Bo what I love about Washington School is I like all of the students, and teachers are all nice and the principal is very nice.  None of the kids, and teachers is mean.  When I am sad teachers, and students are there for me. Everybody is respectful, kind, and, is helpful.  We are lucky to have projects, assemblies, Olympics, clubs, instrumental, forensics specials, plays, recess, and eating lunch here.  That’s what I love about our wonderful Washington School!

Jason 4-H I love Washington School because it has the most hard working students and teacher. It does not matter if you’re black or white. All that matters is to be friends, to share, to love, or be kind. But the most important thing to do is to love yourself and others.

Dante 5-Bo  Washington School is excellent! The teachers are fun and helpful. The classes really teach us what we should know in life. Having the laptops in our homerooms is always exciting, and the Smartboards rock. Also, the assemblies bring smiles and joy to the students. There are many great clubs too! Washington School is the best school in Nutley!

Oliver 5-Bo They do things that not many schools do. Forensics, battle of the books, and others too. This is my first year and I already love it. It’s my home away from home. All of my friends are awesome. I know they’ll help me if I need it. Although I have to say it’s tougher than my last 4 schools. That’s what I like about Washington School.

Christopher K-H  That it is a good school, and good to learn at. The best in the whole wide world because you can get smart. I have nice friends. The teachers are helpful.

Isabella K-D  I like playing with toys at school. I like all my friends, we are learning together. At Washington School I’m having a lot of fun. I even enjoy painting in art class.

Amanda 1-P  I love gym because I like to exercise. I love art because I get to paint.  I love music because we get to sing. I love Miss Puzio and seeing my friends at school.

Sophia K-H  My teacher is Miss Hollywood. She is nice and helpful. She helps the kids when they are learning something new. She is kind. She is great. She makes me excited about school. I am glad that I have her as my teacher.

James 2-C  I love Washington School because it is special. I love the principal in Washington School. I love the teachers in Washington School. I love the students in Washington School. I love recess in Washington School. I love library, gym, music, and art at Washington School. I’m proud that I am a part of Washington School.

Shelby 4-T  What I love about Washington are all the teachers and Mr. Jones. I like Mr. Jones because he is funny and a good principal. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Healy. I like her because she makes learning fu and entertaining. I also like Mrs. Crisson. I had her for second grade and she was one of the nicest teachers I ever had!

Jhevyn 4-T  I love the Washington School Promise. I love that we have a good principal. I love that my teacher, and the staff are good at teaching us everything we know. And it’s all because of Mr. Jones!

Victoria 4-H I love Washington School because I have two nice teachers, Mrs. Tibaldo and Mrs. Healy. This school has really nice kids because everyone treats everybody really kind. I like Mr. Jones, our principal, too. I have two best friends here and their names are Mary and Katelyn .This school is the best, best school in the whole entire world!

Joelle   5-bo I love Washington school because our field trips are fun and exciting. The teachers are great especially Mrs. Boyce. Mr. Jones is a very strict but kind principal. The nurse keeps you healthy and teaches you how to knit if you like. This school is the best school ever.

Stephanie 5-R What I love about Washington school are the people inside. All the friends I’ve made, the teachers I’ve had, the wonderful principal, and all the help. I’ve been here for six years and I never disliked a teacher. I am friends with younger kids, kids my age, and older kids then me. The principal is very nice and he helps kids with their problems. Now you now what I love about Washington school.

Samantha   1-M I love Washington school very much! At my school learning is fun. My teacher, my friends, and my school make me fell very special. After lunch and recess, we go to special. Art is my favorite, but they are all so fun. I love the name of our school because it is named after George Washington. I love our school song. There’s no school like Washington!

Victor  3-C I love that the teachers are all so nice. I have met some good friends. I love to go to the difficult classes because they teach me new things. Gym, Library, and Music are my favorites. Mr. Jones is cool!

Alexis  2-S As a student at Washington School, there are many things that I enjoy every day. Mr. Jones is the best principal in the world. He always helps the students. Mrs. Suter teaches the class. The three R’s are for reading, writing, and arithmetic. I love playing in the field with my friends. That’s what makes going to Washington School so much fun.

Alexa  1-P Washington School has been the best fun because I made friends like Julia, Shannon, Cecelia, and Maria. My teachers are wonderful at teaching us new stuff all the time. Art is my favorite subject.

Aash 4-H What I like about Washington School is to learn. I also listen to all the teachers. What I do in gym, music, art and library is fun. Everything in school is exciting. Every new thing I learn is hard sometimes. But if it is a subject I already know it is extremely easy. This is what I like about Washington School.

I also like the principal because he makes sure nobody fights and he also makes sure bullies are not in Washington School. That is what I like about Washington School.

Joseph 4-T  I love Washington School because I love music. Whenever I have music we play the recorder. The music teacher is very, very nice. Music is exhilarating. After music I go to resource with Mrs. O’Brian. She is nice.

Nick M. 6-M  You can talk to friends. If it weren’t for Washington School, I wouldn’t have half the friends I have now. So thank you Washington School. You gave me my friends.

Joseph 5-Bo   In Washington School we do really fun things. Washington fells like my home away from home. In Washington we have a lot of assemblies in school, we have Olympics, we have battle of the books, which is reading books and then having a battle on how much we know about the book, and we have lots of fun clubs. I love Washington School and I will always remember were I met all of my friends.

Alexa 5-bo   I love Washington because all the teachers are nice and it’s like my home away from home. He students are like my family. My friends are great, the school allows DSs and other electronics, and the lunch is healthy. That is why I love Washington School.

Giulia 2-Cr   I love al my teachers at Washington School. Mrs. Crisson is my 2nd grade teacher. She is really nice. I am learning and having fun at the same time. We have a special visitor in our class his name is Mr. Ha. He is teaching us Korean words and vowels. I like learning new languages.

Caleb 2- C   I like Washington school because it has nice teachers, good education, and a good place to play. My teachers are always helpful, patient, and kind. I learn a lot from them like math, science, reading, and social studies. I like our specials too. They are art, gym, library, and music. There is also a field that we can play on. My friends and I play tag, hid and seek, and we race. I am very exited to go Washington School every day

Katherine 2-C   I love Washington school because the teachers are so nice. My teachers name is Mrs. Crisson. I think if they had the best teacher contest Mrs. Crisson would win. I also think that Mr. Jones is the number one principal.

Jack 3- A   I love many things about Washington school. I like the food they make. I love kickball in the gym. I like the teachers. Most of all, I like all of the friends I have made here.

Elmer 3-A   All teachers are so pleasant and kind. Especially Mr. Jones, our principal. He is very appealing and fascinating. Also my classmates and friends are helpful. That’s why I adore Washington school.

Christian 3-A   Washington school has the nicest teachers. All of my teachers care about me and my friends and how much I learn. We also do a lot of fun things. I love Washington School!

Christopher 4-H   what I like in Washington school is they have fun things to do. The school also has funny and great teachers, too. What I also like about Washington school is that I made a lot of friends. And our principal, Mr. Jones is a great guy. Washington school is a tremendous place to be. So that’s why I came here. Oh, and because of the dazzling, amazing, and glorious things that happened here.

Rosalina 5-bo  There’s so many great things that I love about Washington School .I like the fact that we have so many clubs such as: Dance Club, Photography Club, Instrumental, Student Council, and we even have a fifth and sixth grade singing group. Also we go on three different field trips a year. We have a lot of different events throughout the year, but the thing that I love most is the memories of Washington School. From kindergarten to now I have many memories that will last a lifetime. I love Washington School and everyone in it and I know I will never forget this school no matter where I am in the future.

Brandon  5-bo   What I love about Washington School is, all of my teachers. They all have great personalities and talents. When I screw up they always correct it. I will always look up to them.

Veronica  4-h   I love Washington School because it has all of my friends that I know .We have a lot of subjects. We have Art, my favorite, Gym, the most active, Math, the most problems, SS, (social studies), the most fun thing. We have the funniest Principal and his name is Mr. Jones.

Evan  4-t    What I like about Washington School is how we get to play an instrument in 4th grade. I like all of the specials. Washington School is the best school in the world.

Aimee 5-Bo  I love Washington School because they grow beautiful flowers in the springtime. Our teachers treat us with respect. Mr. Jones is a really nice guy. He schedules nice performers to come entertain us and teach us a lesson at assemblies. I met most of my friends here at Washington School. In 3rd grade we did a wax museum, in 5th grade an ethnic food day mmmm…. In Washington School we do Olympics Its so cool with all the activities. In Washington School I fell like home away from home with all the friendly teachers and people, I Love Washington School!

Melissa 5-Bo  I love that our teachers are kind and always there to help us with our work. Also we don’t have uniforms yet. Also I met most of my amazing friends. We always have outstanding assemblies maybe once or twice a month. We also have so many activities such as: battle of the books, wax museum, Olympics, ethnic food day, and many more to come.

Fady 5-bo  In Washington school everything happens like assemblies, field day, and Jr Olympics 4-6. Washington school is 99 years old. I love Washington School Mr. Jones is a very nice person for taking this job and he is very good at it. I like it because the teachers are amazing.

Matthew 4-t What I like about Washington school is the teachers, the activities we do, and stuff we do in our specials. Our principal, Mr. Jones, is a really commercial person. Our teachers that we have for the afternoon teach us interesting facts. I wish I could come to Washington School everyday.

Nicholas 4-T What I like about  Washington is that most of the time; the teachers have a smile on their faces.  They always try to make learning fun.  I love all of the wonderful assemblies that the teachers set up and the clubs that they put together.

Peter 4-H This year I was in GT.  We learned about the Medieval Times.  We built castles and siege them it was a lot of fun.  We also made shields and catapults.  I also like library because of the books that are there.  I think that Washington School is the best.

Nick 6-M I love Washington School because it was my first elementary school.  Every year, I learn more about this school like the teachers and

Kyla 5-R   I like the floor to the ceiling of   Washington school. I love the K-6 graders and the teachers. I’m glad they allow DS’s now I love gym-art.
   But I would only make a few changes. Like the walls and outside. But one day it will happen. I hope it will be soon because in two years I will be leaving.
  But my favorite is the teachers. Mrs. Crupi is so nice to me and she loves art as much as I do.  Mrs. Boyce makes everything fun in L.A to math. I love the teachers.
  But most of all I love the field trips Mr. Jones prepares. Like last year sandy hook and this year liberty science center. I am glad knows a lot of people. So we could go to places we went to or didn’t go to! I love Washington school!

Natalia  2-Car   The things I love most about Washington School are my friends. I also love learning new things from my teacher. Washington school is the best school in Nutley because we have heart!

Alexa 2-S  It is a great school. I eat, play, and I learn. I want to thank all of the teachers for letting us do these nice things. I love this school because it has great assemblies, great teachers, great friends, great food, and a great principal. Mr. Jones is a very nice, silly, smart, and fun principal. Kayla 4-H  I love Washington School because Mr. Jones is a really good principal for this school. Mr. Jones is a good principal because he makes good rules for us. I also love this school because the teachers are really nice. I also love the food here because we have good lunch aids. I love art class because Ms. Crupi is really nice and she teaches us cool art. Finally, I love my teacher, Mrs. Healy because she’s nice to us and doesn’t yell at us.

Monika 6-M  What I love about Washington School is all my friends. They are the best friends in the world at Washington School. If it weren’t for Washington School, I would not have met most of my friends. Thank you Washington School.

Devin 5-Bo  Washington School is amazing. From the teachers to the students to the education, and to the school itself.  When I talk to my friends that go to other schools they say that they don’t know why they even go because they don’t learn anything.  But here at Washington School I learn something.  When I walked into Washington School for the firs time until know is two different people.  I wouldn’t go to any other school no matter what happens.

Danielle5-R  I love the way Washington School has so many activities, assemblies, and clubs.  I love all the teachers (especially Mrs. Rossi) and how they make learning so fun.  There’s so many clubs to join, there’s one for everyone!  Washington School has the most nicest, fairest principal of all the schools.  Washington School is the best school ever and I wouldn’t switch for anything. 

Julia1-P  I love Washington School because my friend Alexa is there.  She is very fun to be with.  I like to play with her at recess.  She makes school more fun for me.  Washington School is the best place to be. 

Jeffrey5-Bo   I love Washington School because the teachers are nice.  The assemblies are nice like the Opera Assembly was funny and all those other are too including the assemblies you can participate in.  The clubs, Instrumental, and Jr. Olympics are very fun like when my classmates and I were cheering “Lets Go Washington Lets Go!!”repeatedly.

Christian 4-T  I love gym because we play so many fun games and basketball is of my favorites. I like assemblies because they make me laugh a lot and I have fun. Field trips are great because they could be at a cool museum or beach like this year. This is the best school and that’s why I never want to leave
 
Desiree 2-Cr   I like the assemblies that we have at school. I look forward to them because they are all so different and fun. My favorite one this year was the game show. I can’t wait for the next one.

Dominick 4-T   I love Washington school because of the specials. Like art, gym, music, and library Tech. They are all exciting. Every time you go inside something fascinating happens. We all have to thank Mr. Jones

Katelyn 4-H  What I love about Washington school is that there are no bullies and when I need help on a test or questions there’s always a teacher to help me. The reason I like these are because if you have bullies then you don’t want to be there. I like the teachers because if I don’t have teachers I wouldn’t be as smart as I am.
 
I love Washington because Mr. Jones is a really good principal for this school. Mr. Jones is a good principal because he makes good rules for us. I also love this school because we have god lunch aids.  I love art class because Ms. Crupi is really nice and she teaches us cool art. Finally, love my, teacher Mrs. Healy because she’s nice and doesn’t yell at us.  

Kayla  2-S  I love Washington School because the teachers give me great education.  I have learned how learned   how to read, spell words, and regroup numbers. I have learned many new things because of my teachers.  I can’t wait until next year to see what teacher I will get. Washington School only has the best.

Ava 1-M   I love Mrs. Monterosa. She is a great first grade teacher. I like having my own desk. My favorite subject is math. I love my specials art, gym, music and library. The school is getting fixed. I like the new outside. I have made lots of new friends at Washington School. Some of them are my patrols and classmates. Some of my of my favorite things at the school are show and tell, assemblies and recess.  I feel happy that I’m in Washington School.

Michael    4-T the awesome, fun, and amazing teachers!  Also lunch, recess, the principal, Field trips, and everything else because they are all awesome. I like the Assembles; I like them because the people who speak inspire me to do better things. But the thing I like the most is getting to go here

Avkash 4-H what I love about Washington School is Charlie Book Worm because we read books. My teacher Mrs. Healy made it up. What we do is we get to pick a reading goal and try to reach it by the end of the year. We have already read over 1,000. I love Washington School!
 
Vinyl 4-T  I love Washington School because of my Teacher and lunchtime. It is Great. I like gym the most and Math. It’s a lot of fun.  I think it’s extremely the best School in the world.

Brian 3-M What I like about Washington School is they have very good teachers. They teach us a lot of things like Math, Social studies, and Spelling.  The best day in third Grade was when we learned Multiplication.
 
David 4-T  I like Washington school because there are intelligent teachers.  There are funny teachers, smart teachers and mean teachers. The teachers that are mean, Care more.  What I am trying to say is teachers have their own personality.  That is what I like about Washington school.
 
Vincent 4-T what I like about Washington school is that they have Specials like gym. The next thing I love is recess. After special we go up to the floor and learn science, grammar, social studies, math and health. But math and social studies are the things I want to learn about the most. I think Washington school is extremely the best school in the entire universe.

Anthony 6-M  The thing I love about Washington School is that my friends are there. I got to hang with them. I also like talking to them. That’s what I love about Washington school

Jake 4-H   I love that we have such a large collection of books and that we have computers at the library. I also like that we have such a big gym and extra programs. I really like that teachers aren’t boring and use fun methods to teach.

Hazal 4-T  What I love about Washington School is my fun teachers, my principal, and my friends. I love doing projects, going on field trips, art, clubs, and EVERYTHING. I love Washington School because the people there (teachers, principal, substitutes, students) are kind. The school was thoughtful to think up the Washington School Promise, and I think #3 really sank in. Rule #3: We are expected to be respectful, courteous, and helpful. The students and everybody else are all helpful already, and that is why and what I love about Washington School.

April  5-R  Washington School has terrific and caring teachers who will help you through the tough times. Lots of friends even though we sometimes get into scuffles. Playing volleyball, basketball, soccer, hockey, and many more fun games in the gym. All the classes are so much fun even when you are working silently. But I especially love the principal Mr. Jones who is a courteous and generous man.

Breanna 5-Be  You see that big old school over there. Some people don’t really care. But, for me its something special in teachers, students, books, and tools, there. Boy, do I love the school. It might mean nothing to you, but deep, deep, down inside, you know you love this school as much as I do.

Nicolas K-H  I love Washington School because Mr. Jones is a fair principal. I love my teacher Miss Hollywood. She is very nice to my friends and me. If we are quite we get to pick out a toy from the treasure chest. I am learning to read it is fun. My school is the best.

Liala K-G  I love my school because it has great teachers who are kind and I get lot of encouragement from them. They prepare me to be smart and successful. I enjoy my Art, Music, library and gym class too. My school is the best.

Lingxiao 2-Cr  Washington School’s teachers are very nice. It is fun working with them. I made a lot of new friends. The best part of Washington School is that you can learn a lot of stuff from the people who work here. I learned to read, write my name in cursive, and make friends. I think Washington School is the best school I have ever seen.

Harsh5-Boy  I love that Washington School has not banned recess like a few other schools already have, because recess is great thing where kids can do whatever they want and if your new you can even meet new friends and I am glad Washington School respects that.

Alyssa Ustarroz 6-M  What I love about Washington School is the diversity of people and personalities.  I love all the different kinds of people and where they come from, and the culture.  I love when children explain what holidays they celebrate, why, and things about their culture.  I love all the personalities the children at Washington School offer to share.  It’s so much fun handing out with a bunch of different personalities.  Those are one of my many things I love about Washington School.

Yaddier Cardona 4T  I love the Principal because he is nice, and so are the teachers, too.  I also like the way Washington School looks plus I like my friends too, and also the ways the teachers act.  These are the things I like about Washington School.

Hasnan Shah 6-M  I love smelling Dunkin’ Donuts across the street.  I love the anxiety when we get our report cards.  I love it when we watch the Polar Express each year.  I love it when we have assemblies and everybody comes in the auditorium.  This is what I love about Washington School.

Nikayla Goldenberg 6-M  I love Washington School because the learning styles are wonderful.  The teachers and principal are great.  Everybody in the school cares for everybody else and I think that it is very important.  I love this school and I wouldn’t want to leave.

Samantha Panso 6-M   I love that the teachers are very nice, also that I am an office patrol.  Another thing that I love about Washington School is when we have the parties for the holidays.  There are so many things why Washington School is the best school.  Too bad this is my last year.

Nicole Zolnierczyk 6-S   I love Washington School about its’ loving teachers, student teachers, and other school faculty for keeping the school in tip-top shape.  I thank all the teachers for giving others and me the knowledge to survive in the outer world.  I also love Washington School because of all the sports equipment so we can play outside and in the gym.  Mostly I’d like to thank Mr. Jones and Mrs. Dwyer for keeping the school a safe place to learn and play at recess with my friends.

Corey Brown 4-H  I love Washington School because the food is great.  I always get extra mashed potatoes, they are too good to not like.  When I go home I am never hungry anymore.  (Well a little hungry but, you get the point).  I love the food it is tremendous.  Washington School is very, very cool.

Nick Tran 6-M  I love Washington School because it was my first elementary school.  Every year I learn more about this school like the teachers and where the rooms are.  I also love the school’s clubs.  There are many clubs to choose from.  Patrols are one of my favorite things to do.  It is great to help little kids and have patrol lunches.  I hope everybody loves this school in some way.

Ashley LeSoine 4-T   I love Washington School because they gave grade teachers.  I love Mr. Jones and Mrs. Tibaldo and 3rd grade teachers and 1st grade teachers, too.  I love all my teachers.  I cannot wait for my 5th grade teachers.

Eunice Suba 4-T  What I love about Washington School is the principal.  He is so funny!  The principal usually does funny jokes.  I guess that he studied to be one.  That’s why he is one!!  So, if somebody is new to this school, I’m sure they’ll like this school for the first day.  Just like when I was new.

Maggie McCreesh 4-H  The thing I like best about Washington School is Social Studies.  Mrs. Healy makes it really fun!  The Lenape project was my favorite.  Now we are starting a chapter on Colonial Times it seems so exciting!  I wish we had social studies everyday.

Saunak Roy 3-M  My school – Washington School is important to me because it gives me knowledge.  I have a wonderful teacher who is caring, helpful, and encourages me to do good in my tests.  Not only that, I like the other school programs, too.
My favorite part is to play fly ball in gym class with my friends.  I like my school library very much, where I can read different types of books I like to read biography and study on maps.  In this school, I got the opportunity to make friends with different cultures.
Most of all, I love my school very much.  It gives me joy, wisdom and knowledge.  My school is a valuable asset to me; it opens my mind to swim in this beautiful world.

Nicole Cimafranca 4-T  I like my friends, the teachers, and the principal.  First of all I like my friends because we always have great fun together.  Next, are the teachers because they’re always nice and they help you with your work.  Lastly, the principal because he teachers us discipline and to work hard.  All of these reasons are what I love about our school.

Frankie Galasso 4-H   I love Washington School for these reasons:  recess because we get to play outside, and it’s a break from work.  I like field trips because we get to do fun things and go to cool places.  I like assemblies because we get to meet cool people, watch movies, and learn more.  Gym classes because we get to play cool games.  That is why I love Washington School!!

Shahzaeb Atiq 4-T   I like Washington School because of all the things I can do.  I mostly like writing prompts and I love playing basketball in gym.  The assemblies are always entertaining.  Charlie Bookworm is really fun because we have to read 1,500 books through the whole year of fourth grade!

Mary Laney 4-H  I love everything about Washington School!  There are very nice teachers.  They teach us so many great things.  The principal is also very nice.  We have so many cool assemblies.  I think all of the specials and subjects are fun.  It’s very exciting when we get to do special projects.  A lot of people look forward to recess.  I think you are crazy if you don’t like Washington School.

Cameron Lipton-Martinez 4-H  I love Washington School because of the creative ideas for assemblies, and how Washington School wants us to learn in a fun way.  We play fun games in gym.  I learn something new from an excellent teacher.  When I learn something new it’s a good time!  This is why I love Washington School!

Brian Cowley 6-M  Here is what I love about Washington School.  The gym is my favorite place to be.  The gym is the only place we can play and release our energy.  The students learn to play almost any kind of sport.  We develop our talent and team sportsmanship.

Saiyam Roy 3-C  I love my school – Washington School, it is a pathway to open my mind to learn, expand and explore.  I like my teacher, she is very helpful, caring and encourages me.  I like my special classes too.  My favorite class is music class with Mrs. Bimbi, learning beautiful songs.  I also like my gym class when I play fly ball with my friends.  I have lots of friends coming from different parts of the world.  The most important place is the school library where I lost myself in a world of adventure.
My school is very important to me.  It fills me with knowledge.  It guides me to expand myself in this world of wonder.  I love my school very much.  I have lots of fun here.

Julia Tiene 4-H  I love Washington School for many reasons.  The one I think is the most magnificent is art or library.  I love art because I say “Wow!” when my artwork is done.  Something else I like about art is art can take you to a whole other brilliant world!  There are no boundaries to art; also art can take you to a glistening lake or a vibrant cherry tree.  Art is extraordinarily splendid and I enjoy it very much.

Haddy Abdelhady 6L The kindness and courtesy of the staff and teachers.  The loving and caring of the students toward other students.  These are only the few of the many things that I love about my school.  I am proud to say that, that school is my school, Washington School.

I love the fresh aroma of the school and everything around it.  Just to know when you need help someone is there for you is marvelous!  I also love the delightful, fresh, new look of the school.  Everyday I am absolutely sure there is something new to learn in store for us.  I also love the neat idea of the Washington School Promise.  My school is like a territory guarding me.  It’s like a second home to me; a safe place guarding me from the harmful effects toward me, the other students, and the staff.  The advantage of having all these privileges is like a dream come because not everyone gets to have a wonderful staff and an amazingly beautiful school.
I would like to thank the whole entire staff for making me feel at home and helping me follow my dreams.  It really does mean a lot not to me only, but to everyone in the school.

Thomas Boniello  4T  I love this school because of gym.  It is extremely fun.  My friends and I laugh a lot and always have someone to talk to.  I also like field trips like Sandy Hook, which will be really exciting.  All those things just make school a little better.

James Quinn 3M  I have many reasons I love Washington School.  One of the reasons I love Washington School is because of Tacoroni.  I LOVE Tacoroni.  The best principal Mr. Jones invented Tacoroni.  I have the best teachers because they help me learn and grow.  The final reason, the best reason is the Promise.  It teaches me to be a good kid in and out of school.

Isabel    1-M    Washington School is fun. You get free time. Our teacher’s name is Mrs. Monterosa.  She is nice. I have friends.  My friends are Alexa and Kayla, Ava and Sonya.

Jonathan La   3-A    Washington School is a special elementary school to me!  The teachers are well mannered, pleasant and helpful.  The principal walks in the hallways making sure everything is safe and secure.  I get to go to the same school that my mother and brother went.  I have been lucky to have three great caring teachers.  Ms. Chieffo, my first grade teacher is special because she sweet and loving.  Mrs. Crisson, my second grade teacher is kind and polite.  Mrs. Andreula, my third grade teacher is fun and caring.  If my mother asked me, “What school do I want to go to?” I would pick Washington School!

  What I like about Washington School are the wonderful teachers!!
  I mostly love the art room and Mrs. Crupi.  She teaches us many wonderful projects.  Mrs. Moscaritola helps us exercise and many activities!   In the library, we get to take out a HUGE variety of books!    Music is great because we learn about instruments.  Mrs.Bimbi is AWESOME!  I’m in 5th grade, and I enjoy Mrs. Boyce, Mrs. Rossi, and Mrs. Beckmeyer.  I love learning health, social studies, science, language arts, and math SO much!  That’s why I love Washington School!

Anthony Alonso 5  Things I love about Washington School are the classes like Language Arts, where we are focusing on a novel called Crispin and we write the school newspaper; Science too, where we are learning about adaptations so living organisms can stay alive; Health, we are studying body systems; Social Studies, we are now learning about the residents; and Math is also great! But you can’t forget the specials like gym, we’re playing volleyball; library when we go on Power Point; in Art we are doing a Valentine’s Day related project; in Music we just finished woodwind instruments. Also instrumental is awesome; I play clarinet.  In Washington School we are also getting new bathrooms this year. Also
I love all my friends. I just wanted to say I love Washington School.

I love Washington School because I am getting a good education.  The teachers are wonderful and the aides are very helpful.  It is fun when we do school activities like Jump Rope for Heart, the Wacky Olympics and have class parties to name a few.  Washington School is awesome!
