*Scoliosis screening for fifth graders mid February to March.
*Scoliosis is a lateral curvature of the spine with or without rotation. Students with a family history of scoliosis are considered high risk. Idiopathic scoliosis occurs most frequently in rapidly growing preadolescent and early adolescent children.
Screening is done in the nurse’s office before referrals to a specialist or a child’s pediatrician.
Students may prefer to have it done by their family doctor.
*KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION IS FIRST WEEK OF MARCH
