Notes to Teachers-
Be sure to check out the web links. The USFA Kids site contains a lot of information. Scroll to the bottom of the site to see the resources and to choose the version you need to use for the computers you are working with.  If Flash is installed on the computer use Flash Version.  If not use Kids Home and then you will need to print out the quiz for each child before hand.

Depending on computer access and time you can expand on these activities and use Web 2.0 resources such as; Voice Thread, Google Docs, podcasts or vodcasts.  Students can record their voices or use any multimedia software to enhance this project.

This two day webquest begins with a class discussion on the importance of Fire Prevention.

After the topic is introduced place students in groups of four.

Prepare a folder for each child and inside place a Fire Safety Patrol number and an 8X10 piece of drawing paper.
Students need pencils, crayons or markers to draw with.

Students will be evaluated on content and accuracy of their safety rules and the layout and attractiveness of the poster.
